The need for good horse equipment

The need for good horse equipment

It is important to remember that any equipment is used to be kept in a good condition and free from wear and tear. In particular, important items such as reins, girth, girth straps and stirrup leathers should be regularly checked to prevent wear and tear from going unnoticed and becoming dangerous. It is not only the stitching that needs to be monitored, any leather cleaner / saddle soap should be used to prevent cracks, weaknesses and tears. Whichever saddle you use, GP, western or synthetic, it should fit true and your bridle should sit comfortably and neither should rub in any place.
There are a wide range of safety accessories that can be utilised when hacking.

Boots and or bandages are the best ways of offering protection to the horses legs. There are many different types, fetlock boots; brushing boots; complete boots that offer protection to the tendons and fetlocks as well as wicking moisture away from the legs, preventing rubbing and over-reach boots. These can be made using many different materials, leather, neoprene, nylon and synthetic fabrics are all common.

There are other techniques that can help to prevent the build up of snow in the horses hooves that can be discussed with your farrier if you find yourself having to ride in snowy conditions frequently.

A mobile phone is now an essential of everyday life for most people. For safety reasons this should also be taken with you when hacking out, especially if horses riding out alone. This is best carried in a secure pocket with the ringer off so as not to startle your horse should it go off. In the event of the emergency you can use your phone to call the vet, your yard or your home should you need it. Even the most isolated areas should allow you to use emergency numbers, preventing you from being stranded in the case of an emergency.

How to Use Facebook Ads for Real Estate

How to Use Facebook Ads for Real Estate

Real estate agents have many advantages over Facebook advertising. Their targeting capabilities are much more precise than other social media platforms.

Facebook Ads can not only find your audience through behavioral and demographic targeting, but also low cost.

However, many agents are still not included in this trend. So, those who want to take risks will gain a competitive advantage over other realtors.

But, like all marketing plans, you must have a strategy. Here’s how you should use Facebook ads for real estate.

“Possibility to Move”
Supported by behavioral data, Facebook now has the category of “Possible Move” people.

This data comes from online and offline research. This is also generated through platform-related partners.

People who have visited a real estate site recently will appear in this category. Those who have posted about the first home purchase will be included as well.

From there, you can even segment your audience even further. You can narrow it down by age, household income, and geography.

Facebook strategically adds an account that matches the “Possible to Move” category. This means you are not wasting dollars on advertising for people who have not been interested in moving. How to Use Facebook Ads for Real Estate

Let’s say you’re in the West with a farm for sale and want to contact interested buyers. You can specifically target those who have searched for farms in the area.

Do not Just Use Facebook Ads for Real Estate Buyers
Direct your ads to mortgage brokers as well.

Why? How to Use Facebook Ads for Real Estate

Because targeting a mortgage broker means you increase your referral chances.

Facebook also allows you to narrow down the target with a job title. Simply enter the ‘mortgage broker’ into the ad search engine, and voila! You will reach new audiences.

You do not want to spend a lot of money on people who are not interested in buying or selling. But reaching a certain audience can really improve your reputation.

You may also consider advertising with those who have the following job titles: processor advisers, closer, and refinance.

Coordinate with Traditional Efforts
Since you are targeting a certain area, you should implement traditional strategies in these places as well.

Of course, many who go through the mail directly thrown into the trash. But, traditional marketing can be much more effective when combined with digital business.

There is no doubt that consumers need a lot of opinions before making a purchase. That means they need to create some kind of impressions with your company.

So, if you spend money on Facebook advertising, you also have to coordinate around your standard tactics. Send your postcards and other direct mail ads to tenants in the same area code.

It is ideal to start your Facebook business right before you submit your direct mail. Then keep those ads running for a while later to maximize your exposure.

Tips for Preventing Termite Infestations

Tips for Preventing Termite Infestations

Because termites are so thorough at destroying organic material and cellulose, taking precautions to prevent infestations can save you time, money, and frustration. You don’t want to end up with unstable supports on your home or eroded siding. With only a few precautions, you can prevent termites from causing damage to your property’s value and aesthetics. Whether you’re a new property owner or simply concerned about the great potential for termite damage, investing some resources into termite control methods in Macon, GA, can have a big impact on your future.

Eliminate Wood-to-Ground Access Points

Tips for Preventing Termite Infestations

Termites burrow underground, but have excellent senses for finding cellulose to eat. Their tunnels look like thin straws and can be difficult to spot unless you are already digging where a large colony is. If you have wooden components on your home that touch the ground (even shutters or siding), this can create a convenient entryway for termites. They will eat through the wood touching the ground and make their way farther into the structure. To prevent infestations, remove wood-to-ground entries as much as possible or treat them with repellent.

Treat Wood around Your Home

Treating wood is not as effective as removing it altogether, but is the best option if there is no way you can take wood off your structure. There are a variety of effective treatment options on the market, but talk to a pest-control specialist to get personalized information about what products will work best for your unique situation.

Get Rid of Cellulose Tips for Preventing Termite Infestations

Make sure that after you do yard work, like trimming trees or pulling up a dead stump, that you quickly dispose of the wood. Termite control methods in Macon, GA, like these precautionary measures will help you keep termites away and stay in control of your property.

Child Care Issues – what to keep in mind

Child Care Issues – what to keep in mind

The following suggestions come from my heart and my personal experience. I am not a lawyer. I graduate from college with a degree in Communication, however, is not eligible to offer professional legal advice. If you are reading this article, remember you should consult with a lawyer to get help for your specific situation. There are many, varied issues surrounding the legal custody of your children. Laws vary from state to state. Each individual situation is different depending on your personal circumstances, such as: marital status; work; income; other financial resources; family support; relationships with other parents; history of past abuse or domestic violence; arrest record; and the role of the past in the lives of children. The following ideas are just a few suggestions to consider if you are fighting for custody of your children or if you are afraid that you must fight the father / mother of your children for detention. My first suggestion comes from my own horrible experience. 1 – Do not think you should not fight for custody of your children.
Do not assume you know your father / mother very well, so you are not afraid to be forced to fight this man or woman to defend the rights of your parents. Do not foolishly believe everything the fathers / mothers of your children say to you. If they are planning to apply for custody of your children, do you really think they will tell you before? Obviously if they give you any kind of warning, you’ll have time to get your own lawyer and try to beat them in their own game. So of course, they will lie about their intentions if they plan to seek custody of your children. And they will try to make their lies sound so sincere, so convincing and so honest that you can be easily deceived. The only advice I have about how to distinguish between lies and truth is – go with your instincts. If you have reason to believe that they might think of applying for custody to your children, follow your heart. If you have any doubts about how honest they are with you, do not wait to see what happens next. Timing is very important, so do not delay actions to protect yourself if you feel threatened or misled in any way. 2 – Be careful with whom you trust with important information. You may be surprised at how quickly the word moves from what you say to a friend or some of your family members to a parent or other family friend. People love gossip. Rumors spread like wildfire with little concern for you or your children. The only way to extinguish the flame from your tragic situation is to close your mouth. Do not share your side of the story with anyone unless you are willing to risk your life and your future with your children for their loyalty to you. If you are hurt by the actions of your child’s father / mother, it is very difficult not to talk about your feelings of disbelief, anger, anxiety and destruction, but it can hurt you longer to share your experience. emotions even with your closest friends and family. You never know who will repeat what you say to whom and nothing is worse than being stabbed by someone you think you can trust. This is probably the most expensive and bitter battle of your life. Do not risk the consequences by revealing your significant defense factor to more than a few of your closest friends or family members, whom you trust with all your heart. The stakes are high in case of any custody. Gambling in these situations can reduce your credibility, destroy your reputation, undermine your defense strategy and significantly lower your chances of winning in court. 3 – hire a lawyer You need it

The Gnarliest Waves at Nazareé, Portugal: Not For the Faint-Hearted

The Gnarliest Waves at Nazareé, Portugal: Not For the Faint-Hearted

The little Portuguese fishing village of Nazaré is a surfing hotspot during the summer months, but in winter only the real thrill-seekers stick around. One of these is undoubtedly Garrett McNamara, the big wave big boy from the US, who in 2011 broke the record for the biggest wave ever surfed — and he smashed it right here in Nazaré.
Big Names, Bigger Waves

This monster wave measured 78 feet and in 2013 McNamara returned to Nazaré where he surpassed his own record, riding an absolute whopper estimated to be 100 feet tall. Later that year, Carlos Burle of Brazil conquered a wave that seemed even bigger, winning international recognition with surfers worldwide.

In 2014 Andrew Cotton from Plymouth followed suit, and is now known as one of the 4 surfers who have ridden the hugest waves around these parts. He started surfing when he was seven, so if you want to check out these waves you’re going to need a lot of practice or some pretty decent surf travel insurance…

Why Such Big Waves?!

Nazaré is such a Mecca for surfers because of its enormous waves, and these waves exist for our adrenaline-fuelled enjoyment thanks to the make up of its ocean floor topography. Just like Hawaii’s Banzai Pipeline, the Tahitian Teahupoo and northern California’s Mavericks (amazing surfing spots any surfer worth their salt know!), Nazaré’s ocean floor boasts a huge underwater gorge.

The Nazaré Canyon stretches 125 miles, starting barely half a mile from the shore and reaching way out into the abyssal plain of the Atlantic Ocean. At 16,000 feet, its unbelievable depth, coupled with its perfect positioning, helps to magnify the waves that approach the Praia do Norte beach in Nazaré. It’s because of this that almost every single day you can bear witness to monster waves up to 4 times the size of those found elsewhere along the coast.

Daredevils and Pros Alike: Surf Travel Insurance is as Essential as Board Wax!

It’s undisputed that tackling these waves is not for the faint of heart. Monster waves often move much faster than others, which forces boarders to get distance from the dangerous, frothy white water as fast as they can.

This kind of surfing is less about aesthetics than its tamer cousin: think extreme sport rather than showy carving, quick cutbacks and pretty floaters. This is about braving the aggro (bad weather), tough conditions and brutal waves while trying to remain upright and avoid reef injuries, wipeout, or even death…

While we wouldn’t recommend big wave surfing to those who aren’t pros, now is a good time to start planning your summer surf trip to enjoy the sun and sea at your (adventurous) leisure! Before you race off to enjoy the surf, travel insurance is a must-buy. Embrace the waves without the fear of monstrous medical bills should anything go wrong. You never know, with a little practice you could even be the next big name to be borne of Nazarés big waves! Surf’s up!

Why Paying it Forward Reaps Many Rewards on Social Media

Why Paying it Forward Reaps Many Rewards on Social Media

Does not it feel wonderful and causes you to smile when you’re acknowledged for an accomplishment? When someone is really kind to you without any intention of reciprocation? I recently discovered how wonderful that feeling is.

When eVision Media won an Abbotsford Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence award at the end of November, my Facebook feed was inundated with hundreds of likes, congratulations and well wishes. It truly was overwhelming to be the receiver of such incredible heart-felt wishes!

Being on the receiving end of such attention is not only flattering but also have me deeply touched that so many people thought kindly of my team and I. So much so that it has me ponder my own actions, or inactions as the case may be, on social media. Why Paying it Forward Reaps Many Rewards on Social Media

How many times did I scroll past someone sharing their good news … too busy to pause long enough to congratulate them?

How many times did I just hit the “like” button and move on after someone posted a huge victory of their own?

Too many times.

So many that I have a decision on Social Media too. Now I make a conscious effort to pause a little message of kindness on my social media channels. Whether it’s a quick “Congratulations!” Or a response to a question I’ve received over the years. Will you join me?

Here’s 6 Ways You Can Pay It Forward on Social Media

1. When you see someone sharing good news, do not just hit the “Like” button, go that extra mile and leave a comment about how happy you are for them. It’s ok that you do not know this person personally, it’s social media where your connection is all that’s needed to pay a little kindness forward.

This simple gesture can make a big difference in the other person’s life. You have no idea what you are going through and your message of kindness could make their day. Why Paying it Forward Reaps Many Rewards on Social Media

2. When someone retweets or shares your content to their followers, send them a message of thanks.

Your acknowledgment will go a long way in their eyes, and they will remember how kind you are to them and will encourage them to continue their acts of sharing kindness. 3. Retweet and share great content of others and be sure to give them credit for posting such great stuff.

This kind of acknowledgment could be all that’s needed to give them the confidence they need to keep creating good stuff.

4. Participate in contests that you really wish to be a part of. A lot of thought and planning goes into setting up a contest so show your appreciation for the opportunity to win something and submit your entry.

Imagine if you are holding a contest and how much excitement you will feel when you see so many people participating. Share that gift of excitement to others.

5. Tell someone you appreciate them. It does not have to have any strings attached … just let them know how much you admire them and appreciate being connected with them on Social Media and why.

Would not it be great to receive such an unprovoked message? You can make someone else feel great too – how cool is that!

6. When you see someone is struggling or has asked a question you can answer, help.

Sharing your expertise with others is a wonderful way to pay it forward and help someone else out at the same time.

By making a conscious effort in performing these acts of kindness on social media, you will not only help make the world a better place (after all, does not the world need more kindness in it?) But you will also see a positive shift both personally and professionally in your own life.

There are plenty of other ways you can pay it and share kindness with others on social media. Help me grow this list by posting in the comments section below your own ideas. And do not forget to implement them!
